Summer Farm Program for Teens

(Ages 13-17)

 

This 6-day program once a week for 6 weeks is designed to help those who wish to experience meaningful and closer relationships, overcome anxiety, and build confidence.

 

Each week participants are actively learning on the small therapeutic farm how to identify, plant, grow, harvest, and care for various plants on the farm. By building the skill to care for plants it returns in building a sense of purpose and increases self-confidence.

 

Each week participants will also learn how to effectively handle in healthy ways difficult emotions, their reactions and responses, and the consequences of their actions with emotions such as: anger, fear, guilt, shame, grief, and love. All sessions will be facilitated using horticulture therapy practices to channel these emotions in constructive ways that build confidence, emotional self-regulation, and build healthy relationships.

(Ages 18-26)

 

This 6-day program once a week for 6 weeks is designed to help those who wish to experience meaningful and closer relationships, overcome anxiety, build confidence and connect with a sense of purpose.

 

Each week participants are actively learning on the small therapeutic farm how to identify, plant, grow, harvest, and care for various plants on the farm. By building the skill to care for plants it returns in building a sense of purpose, increases self-confidence, and regulates the nervous system effectively reducing stress and anxiety.

 

Each week participants will also learn how to effectively handle in healthy ways difficult emotions, their reactions and responses, and the consequences of their actions with emotions such as: anger, fear, guilt, shame, grief, and love. All sessions will be facilitated using horticulture therapy practices.
